Today we began by meditating on what we would do/create if given manna today in this season when we’re bombarded with so many divisive and consumption-related messages. It was a great way to center ourselves before we delved into the oral history and Jewish themes in Star Trek, the migration of German Jews to Louisville, and celebrating a funny and affirmative animated short, Rugrats Chanukah, which was, for a long time, the only Jewish holiday themed kids’ special shown this time of year.
We’ll be off until January 10 so everyone can focus on their end of semester school work and enjoy some down time with your families. Be safe, wear your masks, and have a very happy Chanukah!
