We were privileged to hear Uwe and Gabi von Seltmann’s powerful story of love overcoming dark, hate-filled family secrets on Sunday. The students were truly spellbound. Thanks again to Temple Shalom and Rabbi Beth Jacowitz Chottiner for bringing them to Louisville and to HSJS.
During our elective period, the students covered everything from bialys to Bob Dylan to Beit Din persuasive argument strategies. Great Jewish learning, as always!
There’s a special opportunity coming up in November that’s part of the International Shabbat Project: the BIG Challah Bake. See the flyer attached below and click on this link if you’re interested in participating.
Thanks to those of you who let me know by 10:30 Saturday night that your child will be absent on Sunday so we don’t wind up with lots of leftover pizza—keep up the good work!!
