I hope everyone had a restful break and a radiant Chanukah celebration! We’ll be back in the saddle this Sunday, January 8 with new electives to explore and some exciting events coming up on our calendar.
I will remind you again next week, but please mark your calendars that on Sunday, January 15, we’ll be privileged to see the CenterStage Acting Out production of I Never Saw Another Butterfly at the JCC. We’ll be seeing this powerful play with some of our fellow Temple and LBSY students, and in order to accommodate everyone’s schedules, the play will begin promptly at 11:30 am. So, on Sunday, January 15, please drop off your children at the JCC by 11:15. Pick up will also be at the JCC at approximately 12:30.
Another reminder as we head into potential wintry weather: I will announce school closings IN THE MORNING 4 ways: I’ll email everyone, send a Remind text message, post it on our Facebook page, and list it with WDRB-TV. So make sure you “like” our Facebook page and if you haven’t signed up for Remind text messages, text @hsjs502 to 81010 or to 270-253-1525 if the first one doesn’t work! Please remember that even though The Temple, LBSY, and HSJS will consult each other regarding weather-related closings, we each make our decision independently since there are location and time factors that are different for each school.
